#Younger (TV Land)

Is it just me or does the new show "Younger" on TVLand have you yearning for the next episode as soon as the it's done.

A woman on the verge of divorce, no home, her daughter ( who she stayed at home to raise) has gone to school in India and she's 40. To some that seems like the end of the world there but not for Liza who goes in search of a job after being off the radar for such a long time she is placed into a world much different for the one she left 15 years ago. Technology is everything and she is needless to say far behind. The only level she can start at is t the bottom but from the working world's stand point she's "too old" for that. Liza's friend Maggie inspired with the brilliant idea that she become a 26 year old when a guy named Joshua mistakes Liza for a 20 something year old in a bar. So the show is you being taken on this journey of her juggling her now two lives of her past and her present with quirky characters along the way to mix things up.

The characters are so relatable although theoretically you wonder how they could mistake the main character Liza Miller for a 26 year old? It is funny and witty and reels you into the story line which is a difficult task altogether as so many story lines seem over done. This show definitely shows promise to be around for quite a while.

Hilary Duff has grown in her craft as an actress and plays the role of Kelsea Peters remarkably. I really started to see a change in her roles on Gossip Girl and Beauty and the Briefcase. In some cases it's difficult for child stars to transition into adult roles but I must admit she's done it quite gracefully and without having to sell out herself. So hats off to her.

If you were on the fence on watching this, I say get off it and watch it. You'll be addicted in no time. I give it two thumbs up.

Spoiler Alert #Spiderman

For those of you who saw The Amazing Spider Man continue reading for those who didn't well....don't. Anyway, this movie was good in following up of the first movie; it had action, romance, inner conflicts to say the least. I'm not sure I liked Jamie Foxx as the villain but he wasn't horrible at it. Andrew Garfield portrays the character of Spiderman in its true essence as opposed to Toby McGuire. He's comical and laid back and most importantly masculine. Now the plot  of this movie left me wanting as it kind of left you in the middle of nowhere but... they tried to tie it in with an alliance of the villains Harry and Electro. As the  sap I am I was so sad to see the character of Gwen die at the end as she seemed more deserving of leading lady, but I guess they have to follow the story line of comic.

Selena Gomez' Demise

So everyone's eyes are on Selena, judging her every move since her rehab stint. Is she back with Justin, she's offing friends on instagram and now the latest she's with Orlando Bloom. Well my take on it is who gives a fart, she's Yong and entitled to make mistakes, learn lessons and grow from it. She's a Yong star trying to find her way in an industry that's unforgiving. How fast we forget how imperfect we are and human these celebrities are. If she is with Orlando Bloom it's probably because she needs a mature stable influence as opposed to a teen heart throb who doesn't know his hand from his foot. Justin and Selena have always liked like an odd couple and it was a lot of drama coming to the end of their romance it's time for change. Which is why she probably she'd herself off friends from that time. So as we all watch the stars in three fish bowl called the media, let's not be so quick to judge as we are not saints either.

Chasing Maria Menounos

So Maria Menounos kicked off a new reality show "Chasing Maria Menounos". I don't know if any of you remember her from "One Tree Hill" or "Dancing With The Stars" to name a few of her appearances on screen as well as her role in Fanatstic Four as a nurse or hosting on Extra. From her Greek heritage to her journey to stardom being told on the series it is definitely a reality show to watch. Down to earth and approachable is what I think is most captivating about the tv personality letting us in on her world and how she takes it a day at a time in her awkward situation of staunch Greek parents living with her and her Italian boyfriend of 15 years. It's not about all the glitz and glamour it's the behind the scenes of what the journey really entails. Tuesdays 10pm ET/PT Oxygen. Check it out
